DRIVING DIRECTIONS

· Left on RESEARCH DR.. (simplest direction is to follow the this road until it dead ends at Windflower

· Right onto WINDFLOWER LANE (becomes Windflower Circle)

SEASONS

SPRING

An awaking from winters slumber, a time of renewal in our valley. Deer with their fawns, arrive to drink from the lake, nibble on the aspen buds and fresh meadow grass. If you are lucky, Mama bear may be seen at the pond, very early in the morning, with her cubs. Wildflowers show up along with our Canadian Geese couple who alert us of their arrival with much honking. Spring also brings picture post card snows that rarely last more than a day.

SUMMER

A time to immerse yourself in the Rockies, hiking, fishing, picnicking, biking, hiking in the mountains. Long sunny days, perfect weather. Mid-July to mid-August we have short afternoon thunder showers that bring out fresh pine scented mountain air.

FALL

The mountains get all dressed up…aspens turn to gold…the scenery is at its most magnificent. The weather is sweat shirt warm during the day and fireplace chilly at night. All attractions are open. Our favorite time of the year.

WINTER

A little of everything from getting away from it all in front of the fireplace with a good book to tobogganing, ice skating, hiking on the estate or skiing at Breckenridge 1 hour 20-minute drive. We get most of our snow February through March. The house is fully decorated for Christmas. All roads including our private road are cleared of snow whenever there is an accumulation of 3 inches. Four-wheel drive, or two wheel drive with chains available, is highly recommended when in Colorado during the winter.
